EXPOSED!
Here's a little message that people should live by: THOU SHALT NOT STEAL!
As a writer, I work hard to deliver and improve my writing. These are my thoughts, ideas, and words. Now, I understand being inspired by other people's work (believe me, I know!), but there is no excuse to steal and claim someone else's work.
Where are you going
with your head bowed down
your shoulders hunched over
ashamed to even look me in the eyes?
I know the world gets to you
You feel that your feet are dragging
Your life isn't the way you want it to be
Please don't do that
Don't shut me out
Please don't push me away
Don't push me aside
I don't want to be on the sidelines
waiting for this head on collision
You have to know that I understand
You have to believe that I've been there
Where you've been standing
wondering if hope is lost
I see all the signs lingering inside of you
as they had lingered within me
So don't you hide from me
Don't you go pulling away from me now
Just sit down right there
Tell me what is going through your mind
Your heart is shattering in your eyes
How long have you kept this inside
How long have you let this fester
I just want you to know
You're not alone
I want you to know
I'll be standing

your shield

your sunlight
When the night
refuses to end

carry you
when the world
overwhelms you
And you can't find
the steps you need to take
Too many people have let you down
So many prayers you have cried out
Have been left unanswered
You're so tortured inside
The way the hurt within you
is reflecting on the outside
And I can no longer pretend
That there's nothing wrong
It's hurt me to see you like this
I can only imagine what lurks
Behind the hidden recesses
Of your shattering heart
I can only imagine how it feels
It doesn't compare I know
It doesn't compare to imagination
I could be your answer
to your unanswered prayer
Maybe, I can be the guiding light
To lead you back to the surface
So you can breathe again
